Hi! A little about our program…
Our recipes and meal plans reflect how we actually cook on a day-to-day basis.
Our recipes are inclusive of an omnivore-style eating pattern, with a strong emphasis on a variety of plant-based foods. In general, our recipes are relatively simple, though you will find some more complex recipes in our hub.
The structure of our meal plans generally align with a ‘cook once eat twice’ style of meal preparation, with leftovers from dinner typically providing lunch the next day (except for on the weekend). Each meal plan and grocery list is put together with the intention of feeding two people. If you’re cooking for less than this, you may choose to half the recipes in the plan, and/or cook fewer recipes each week. If you’re cooking for more than this, you might double or triple the recipes as required. We are big advocates for balance, so we always include at least one ‘meal out/takeaway meal’ per week on the plan.
We typically provide lots of variety within our plans. If you prefer to keep it simple (as we often do), you might choose just 2-3 new recipes from the plan, and pair it with some basic meals that you already cook frequently (e.g., a basic baked chicken and veg, or even bulk prep a grain-salad bowl for lunches all week). There’s also a wide variety of simple & easy to cook meals in our recipe hub, so you can mix and match to suit your needs!
We provide a guide as to how many serves each meal makes, but you may need to eat more or less than one serve, depending on your individual energy requirements. If you make too much, we encourage you to take advantage of your freezer where possible.
We know that it is unlikely you will follow our plans 100% of the time. Everyone is different, and so is every week! We recommend making any modifications as you need. You might even like to print our blank meal plan and use it to write your own plan, using recipes from our recipe hub.
Our goal is ultimately to teach you how we actually cook and eat. So you can be assured that our recipes & plans are nutritious, realistic, and tasty!
